We felt responsible and honoured because we were the only company from Poland to introduce its project: Save the Sea.

As Rabugino, we have been working intensively on the Rabtrolley eco brand for several years. Our aim is to produce trolleys that are 100% eco-friendly and environmentally friendly in every other aspect. Since 2022, we have used 500 tonnes of recycled plastic.

In 2022, we took one step further. We produced twin models in which education meets ecology.

The Twinst Bag is a model designed for the use of reusable bags. The introduction of this project required the involvement of our customers, suppliers and consumers. It was a long process, but this year shows that it was worth it. The combination of our trolley and the scan&go system is completely changing the face of in-store shopping.

Around the same time, we entered into a partnership with the Norwegian form of Oceanize. It was through this collaboration that we introduced the Twinst Basket shopping carts. Oceanize supplies us with environmentally friendly granulate from marine and ocean waste. They clean up the seas and we and each of our customers help protect the ecosystem.

This has been a technologically challenging task. Few manufacturing facilities have the knowledge and technology to use such a large amount of recycled plastic from waste. We were able to produce a basket made from 100% recycled plastic, 70% of which was made from marine waste.

Save the Sea is a project in which our technology and Norwegian resources are trying to change the world for the better. It proves that international cooperation on many levels is possible, realistic and brings fantastic results, especially when the goal is bigger than just profit.
Thanks to the Norwegian funding, PARP and the organisers of Oslo Innovation Week, we have had opportunity to share this experience with other Europeans.
